so, this made my logic brain start doing the flashy lights and blippy noises and I decided to really break down the legality of breasts in america.
technically you have to be a legal adult (18+ years of age) to buy magazines with naked breasts in them, or more technically "sexually explicit material/pornography." ... but wait... if you're a minor you could still get away with probably buying paintings of nude models, maybe even pictures, if you can argue that their purpose is art and are not "sexually explicit material" intended to incite sexual arousal... guarantee some people will still argue with you, though... anyway, this seems like it would imply that bearing breasts is illegal because they, by themselves, are sexually explicit, I guess, and considered "indecent" along with butts and genitals. what's really interesting about "indecency" as far as bodies are concerned, women's bodies have been much more strictly policed, at one point in the Victorian era I think, it was considered very indecent for a woman to have exposed arms or legs. some cultures still consider it indecent for women to show any skin at all... then again, it's totally legal to breastfeed in public, here in the states. I guess that's non sexual somehow... even though there's totally lactating fetish porn that exists... soooo, mothers, mothers are to be protected, cause they're precious flowers, baby makers, got a baby? free ticket to free boobs. but unless you're breastfeeding you're a dirty sex object that probably shouldn't even be allowed to vote, right? boobs are sex. and sex is bad...
